I recently attended my nephew’s wedding in the UK and the inspiration behind these peony paintings was the beautiful bridal bouquet, and I can see why as in the language of flowers, the peony carries the symbolic meaning of romance, compassion, good luck, prosperity, a happy marriage, and even bashfulness.
